With elegant herringbone hardwood decorating the floors and three crystal chandeliers bathing the room in light, the elegant Grand Ballroom at the Pendennis Club has hosted the likes of Cassius Clay, U.S. Presidents, and served as a backdrop for the movie, Secretariat. The Grand Ballroom seats 240 people and can accommodate 300 for a reception-styled event.

A beautiful and grand event space for seated events of up to 240 and cocktail style for 300, the Main Dining Room features gorgeous molding, columns, chandeliers, and a custom-made carpet emblazoned with the Pendennis Club’s own crest and motto. The Main Dining Room can be combined with multiple rooms on the 2nd floor to create the perfect evening setting.

The Reading Room is an elegant space located off of the Club’s main lobby and directly across from the Library. With dark wood-paneled walls and various seating areas featuring leather chairs and low tables, this room gives the perfect space to entertain a group of 60 or less with its working wood burning fireplace and baby grand piano.

The Grille and its adjoining Billiards Room is one of the grandest original billiards rooms that is still fully functioning in the United States. Event hosts can choose to rent this space on its own or combine it with the Club’s bar, where the Original Old Fashioned was invented and still lives on today, to host a seated event for 150 people or less.

The Hindustan Room is a formal dining room that has many unique and one-of-a-kind features. Suited for smaller events, the Hindustan is adorned with hand-painted Zuber wallpaper and features a wood burning fireplace as well as a beautiful hand made cherry dining table making it the perfect setting for an intimate dinner or private business meeting.

The Independence Room is the largest private dining room in the Pendennis Club. The walls are decorated with hand-painted Zuber wallpaper and the room features a woodburning fireplace tucked into a corner. With luxurious velvet curtains, an intricate chandelier, and warm tones on the walls, this space offers the perfect backdrop for mid-sized meetings or dinners.

Once referred to as the Ladies Salon, the Gold Room is now primarily used as a bridal suite when the Pendennis Club hosts a wedding event. The Gold Room is the epitome of grandeur with intricate printed wallpaper, heavy velvet curtains, numerous seating areas, and beautiful lighting. Perfect for getting ready for a wedding or an intimate affair with a limited capacity of 50.

The Pendennis Club features a hand-crafted library with built-in bookshelves lining the walls, period-accurate furnishings, original and rare first edition books on the shelves, and a robust wood burning fireplace. The epitome of luxury, the Library is located on the Club’s ground floor and can comfortably host events attended by upwards of 60 people.

One of a handful of original Rathskellars remaining in the United States, this room has been meticulously restored to provide an intimate affair for up to 50 people. The Rathskellar provides a perfect space to end an evening with a wood burning fireplace and vast collection of rare bourbons behind the room’s personal bar.

With a gorgeous, working wood burning fireplace, The Thackeray can be used as an extension of the Grand Ballroom or as a private event space of its own. When combined with the Grand Ballroom, The Thackeray opens up capacity to a 300-person seated affair. On its own, 60 people can fit comfortably.

The Zachary Taylor is one of the smaller, yet intimate dining rooms located on the second floor of the Pendennis Club. The close-knit space within the Zachary Taylor room accommodates up to 14 and provides the perfect backdrop for a small business meeting or intimate dinner with friends.

Similar to The Thackeray, the Lafayette is an opportunity to host a smaller event or expand another event venue within the Club to accommodate a larger party. Originally a small private dining room with a capacity for 15, the Lafayette can be combined with the Independence Room for a bigger event.
